Thermoelectric cooler (TEC) is solid thermoelectric effect. Comparing with traditional cooling method, TEC has obvious different features, simple structure, no moving parts, no vibration, no wear, high reliability, long service lifetime, etc. What’s more, TEC starts fast and it is flexible to control TEC. Based on TEC,Peltier controller is built to control temperature, as shown in Figure 2. Because of compact size, there is no need of heat sink in Peltier controller. It has been widely used for temperature controller of the EDFA, laser module and instrument sensor, etc. This module provides users with multiple interfaces to set target body temperature, i.e. set-point temperature.Peltier controllerhas these functions: thermistor T-R curve linearization, temperature measurement and monitoring, temperature control loop status indication, TEC voltage monitoring, power up delay, and shut down. It is very convenient for users to use Peltier controller. We can also customize a specialized Peltier controller for users.
